8 Steps to Perfect Drapes
1 Measure your window, including the frame.
2 Measure the height of the room.
3 Visit Teschner's with your measurements. If possible, bring a sample of your room's paint color and samples of any other fabrics in the room.
4 Select a fabric from our extensive library.
5 Choose from 14 header styles, or bring in a photo of the style you want.
6 Add any decorative trim or fringe.
7 Select the length of your drapery. Should it break above the floor (recommended for drapes that are opened and closed often)? At the floor? Or should it puddle on the floor (best for stationery drapes)? Will your rod be positioned just above the window (traditional) or closer to the ceiling (contemporary)?
8 Select decorative hardware and a rod /draw system.
That's it! Teschner's will order your fabric, sew your drapes, and call you when they're ready.
